Devin DeYoung, a minor league hitting coach in the Mets organization with Port. St. Lucie who has been coaching professionally for 6 years will also be offering virtual and in-person instruction through the Major League Instructors platform in the off-season. In-person instruction will occur in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
DeYoung spent the previous four seasons as a hitting coach in the White Sox organization. He was the team’s Arizona League hitting coach from 2021-2022 and oversaw hitting initiatives from 2023-2024.
DeYoung worked for the Red Sox in 2019 as a coach for Single-A Greenville.
He was the bench/hitting coach for the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League from 2017-2018 and coached for the Wisconsin Rapid Rafters of the Northwoods League in 2016.
Lesson price is $149.99 for the 1-hour in person session. For a video review and 30-minute consultation to discuss your hitting mechanics is $79.99.

Coach DeYoung will review your video and will recommend mechanical changes (if any) that he believes will improve the player's performance during the live Virtual meeting portion of the virtual lesson.
Hitters will be responsible for sending in video with side view and behind the plate camera angles. In-game video will be preferred, but batting practice video is acceptable. A player's full swing mechanics must be on display for each video you submit. When you are ready to schedule your lesson, submit your video via a YouTube link.
