Hitting/Catching Coach
Retired MLB scout and former Reds MILB catcher Marlon Styles, Sr., will be hosting virtual hitting lessons as well as catching and hitting camps in the greater Cincinnati area. These camps will allow players to get a written evaluation of their performance from a retired scout with 30+ years in professional baseball. Mr. Styles will recommend hitting and defensive fundamental changes that he believes will improve the players performance (if any) and the players will perform in a pro style workout at the end of the event after the player has been through the instruction portion will have their running times, throwing and exit velocities verified by Mr. Styles.

Players will go through offensive and defensive evaluations in which a pro style workout will take place AFTER they have worked with Mr. Styles on any fundamental changes he recommends, towards the end of the camps all players will perform a timed 60-yard dash, exit velocity and infield throwing velocity and home to first times will be recorded and all camp statistical information will be verified on our website for scouts/coaches to see. Marlon Styles was a 5th round MLB Draft Pick out of Aiken HS (Cincinnati, OH) in 1973.
