Jerry Spradlin: At Major League Instructors, Jerry brings years of professional experience to his instruction, helping pitchers sharpen mechanics, build mound presence, and compete with confidence. He emphasizes both the technical craft of pitching and the mental toughness needed to succeed at the next level.

Spradlin’s path to the Major Leagues began after former pitcher Clyde Wright recommended him to Reds scout Ed Roebuck, leading to his selection in the 1988 draft. Just a few years later, he set a Southern League record with 34 saves and quickly earned a reputation as a dependable relief arm.

Over eight seasons in the big leagues, Spradlin struck out 292 batters and appeared in 297 games. In 1997 he pitched in 76 contests for the Phillies—more than any of his teammates—and in 1999 he became the first Giants pitcher ever to record four strikeouts in a single inning.

Since his playing career, Spradlin has dedicated himself to player development, serving as a professional and collegiate pitching coach. Aspiring pitchers who train with Jerry gain firsthand knowledge of what it takes to reach the professional level—and how to compete with both resilience and poise.

Price for pitching video review and 30-minute Zoom consultation is $69.99.
